No matter what sport is played, injuries are going to occur. That is why Saint Xavier University has Kate DeGaetano, ATC, as its head athletic trainer. DeGaetano graduated with degrees in secondary education and athletic training from Minnesota State University-Mankato, where she had experience working with 22 NCAA Division II collegiate sports. She is certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) and licensed by the state of Illinois.
After graduating from MSU-M, DeGaetano was employed by the Orthopedic & Fracture Clinic, P.A., Sports Medicine in Mankato, providing coverage for several local high schools and assisting physical therapists with the design of strength/conditioning programs.
She recently earned her master's degree in education at Saint Xavier University and resides on the North side of Chicago.
