The SXU Cheer and Dance squads will hold an alumni performance for Homecoming Weekend
CHICAGO - Join the Saint Xavier University Cheer & Dance teams for an alumni performance, where you will learn a fun halftime routine and even sideline if you are up for the challenge! Perform this routine with your old teammates on September 29 at SXU's Homecoming Football game. Please note: You must have completed 1 full season and have paid all dues in full!

CHICAGO - The one-day camp hosted by the Saint Xavier University Cheerleading and Paw Prints Dance squads originally scheduled for Saturday, September 8, has been postponed and will now be held on Saturday, November 3. The camp is open to anyone between the ages of 4-17. The camp will take place between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the Shannon Center on SXU's Chicago campus with registration starting at noon. Participants will learn a dance routine during the camp and then have the opportunity to perform the routine on the field at halftime of Saint Xavier's football game against Marian (Ind.) that afternoon.

SXU Cheerleaders and Dance Team members will hold a special camp on Sept. 8, 2012
CHICAGO - The Saint Xavier University Cheerleading and Paw Prints Dance squads will host a one-day camp on Saturday, September 8, 2012, for anyone between the ages of 4-17. The camp will take place between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the Shannon Center on SXU's Chicago campus with registration starting at noon. Participants will learn a dance routine during the camp and then have the opportunity to perform the routine on the field at halftime of Saint Xavier's 6 p.m. football game against rival St. Francis (Ill.) that same evening.

The SXU Cheerleading Camp will take place on Saturday, November 12
CHICAGO – The Saint Xavier University cheerleaders will host a two-hour Cheerleading Camp on Saturday, November 12, at the Shannon Center on SXU's Chicago campus. The camp will take place from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. with registration opening at 8 a.m. Participants will learn a special cheerleading routine during the camp session and then have the opportunity to perform that routine during halftime of the Saint Xavier University football game against Jamestown College (N.D.), which begins at noon that Saturday at Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field.

The SXU Cheerleaders will host a fundraiser on Saturday, June 11, in Orland Park
CHICAGO - The Saint Xavier University cheerleading squad will host a "Candlelight Bowling" fundraiser at 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, at the Orland Bowling Alley in Orland Park, Ill. Tickets for the upcoming event are $25 per person and include four games of bowling and a dinner buffet, which includes dessert. If interested in attending this fundraiser, please contact one of the three cheerleading coaches, Renee Sullivan (708-945-5640), Catherine Lis (708-945-5611) and Kelly Harris (708-932-5567) to reserve a spot.

If you are a Saint Xavier University student interested in trying out for the 2011-12 Cougar Cheerleading squad, make your way over to the Shannon Center on Sunday, April 3, at 1 p.m. for auditions. Open try-outs will begin promptly at 1 p.m.
