CHICAGO – A pair of free throws by freshman guard/forward Suzie Broski (Rockford, Ill./Boylan Catholic) with 10 seconds remaining helped the No. 14 ranked Saint Xavier University women's basketball team pick up a thrilling 57-54 victory over Robert Morris University in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) action Saturday afternoon at the Shannon Center in Chicago.  The Cougars (17-6 overall/4-1 CCAC) had three players score in double figures led by 15 points from senior guard Marissa Young (Monroe, Wis./St. Joseph's College/Monroe).  Young also finished with seven rebounds and a game-best five steals.  Broski posted 14 points and six rebounds towards the winning effort, while freshman guard/forward Morgan Stuut (Marcellus, Mich./Three Rivers) had 13 points and eight boards for SXU.

CHICAGO – Led by game-highs of 24 points, seven steals and six assists by senior guard Marissa Young (Monroe, Wis./St. Joseph's College/Monroe), the No. 14 ranked Saint Xavier University women's basketball team defeated Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) rival University of St. Francis (Ill.), 79-70, Tuesday night at the Shannon Center in Chicago.  The Cougars (16-6 overall/3-1 CCAC) used their normal defensive pressure to disrupt the Fighting Saints throughout the game racking up 15 SXU steals, which helped generate 21 USF turnovers.  Freshman guard/forward Morgan Stuut (Marcellus, Mich./Three Rivers) notched her 11thdouble-double of the season with 22 points and 13 rebounds.

South Bend, Ind. -  Four Saint Xavier University women's basketball players scored in double figures Saturday afternoon in a 63-44 victory over Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) foe Indiana University-South Bend (IUSB) in South Bend, Ind.  Freshman guard/forward Morgan Stuut (Marcellus, Mich./Three Rivers) led all scorers with 16 points to go along with a game-best six assists, while senior guard Marissa Young (Monroe, Wis./St. Joseph's College/Monroe) finished with 15 points, four rebounds and four assists.  SXU never trailed in the game jumping out to a quick 6-0 lead in the opening two minutes led by two early baskets from Stuut.

CHICAGO - Senior guard Marissa Young (Monroe, Wis./St. Joseph's College/Monroe) surpassed the 1,000-point career milestone and freshman guard/forward Suzie Broski (Rockford, Ill./Boylan Catholic) scored a career-high 27 points, but that was it for the highlights for the No. 13 ranked Saint Xavier University women's basketball team Tuesday night at the Shannon Center in Chicago.  The Cougars (14-6 overall/1-1 CCAC) struggled taking care of the basketball with 23 turnovers and the visiting Tigers capitalized hitting 21 three-pointers en route to a 119-89 victory.  With nine minutes remaining in the first half, ONU closed out the frame on a 30-11 run that gave the visitors a 59-36 halftime advantage.

CHICAGO - Senior guard Marissa Young (Monroe, Wis./St. Joseph's College/Monroe) was one of four players to score in double figures as No. 11 Saint Xavier University got back to its winning ways with an 80-59 victory over Purdue University-Calumet (Ind.) in NAIA women's basketball action Saturday afternoon at the Shannon Center in Chicago.  In addition, senior forward Brittany Jones (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) became SXU's all-time leader in blocked shots with 141 career blocks after picking up one Saturday afternoon.  The Cougars used a 24-11 scoring run late in the first half to build a 48-29 halftime lead after the team shot an impressive 57 percent (20-for-35) from the field in the opening frame.

Milwaukee, Wis. -  Freshman guard/forward Suzie Broski (Rockford, Ill./Boylan Catholic) scored 20 points and pulled down seven rebounds, but No. 11 ranked Saint Xavier University struggled down the stretch and fell to No. 21 Cardinal Stritch University (Wis.), 64-59, in NAIA women's basketball action Thursday night at Panella Court in Milwaukee, Wis.  The Cougars (13-5 overall) led 34-31 at the half, but scored just 25 points after the break.  The Wolves were tough on the boards throughout the night winning the rebounding battle, 46-32.  In fact, CSU had 20 of its 46 rebounds come on the offensive end.
