[Cougar Close-Ups] Cougar Close-Ups: Amanda Magee, Sophomore, Women's Cross Country & Track

CHICAGO - We decided to switch things up a little bit for the latest installment of "Cougar Close-Ups." As the last day of the month of February, we have decided to release two female student-athletes for today's installment since female and February both start with the letter "F." In our first installment in March, we will release "Cougar Close-Ups" of a pair of SXU male student-athletes since March starts with a "M." Today's installment highlights sophomore guard Suzie Broski (Rockford, Ill./Boylan Catholic) from the Saint Xavier women's basketball team as well as sophomore runner Amanda Magee (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way North) from the SXU women's cross country and track teams. Greg Pilafas, an intern with the Saint Xavier University Office of Sports Information last semester, has agreed to continue working on this project throughout the remainder of the school year based on all the positive feedback he received from our athletes and fan base last semester. CHICAGO - Happy Valentine's Day! We have a new batch of "Cougar Close-Ups" this week. We are going to try to release future installments this year periodically on Thursdays since we have less sports in session during the Spring semester. Plus, feel free to check out all the old "Cougar Close-Ups" in our archived area by clicking here. This week, SXU Athletics brings you junior forward Chrissy Heine (Hampshire, Ill./Hampshire) from the SXU women's basketball team and senior forward Dominique Harvey (Chicago, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) from the men's basketball team. Greg Pilafas, an intern with the Saint Xavier University Office of Sports Information last semester, has agreed to continue working on this project throughout the remainder of the school year based on all the positive feedback he received from our athletes and fan base last semester. CHICAGO - Back by popular demand! We decided that one semester was not enough time to truly get "Close-Ups" of your favorite Cougar student-athletes, so we are bringing them back for the Spring semester! Just like in the fall, a new batch of "Cougar Close-Ups" will be released every Thursday afternoon through May 2. Plus, feel free to check out all the old "Cougar Close-Ups" in our archived area by clicking here. This week, SXU Athletics brings you senior runner Rachael Dean (Lindenhurst, Ill./Judson University/Lakes) from the SXU women's track team, senior point guard Romisha Taylor (Chicago, Ill./Von Stueben) from the women's basketball team and junior runner Chris Sarna (Palos Hills, Ill./Stagg) from the men's track and cross country teams. CHICAGO - Welcome to the 14th and final installment of Cougar Close-Ups for the semester, a set of video profiles on your favorite Saint Xavier University student-athletes released throughout the 2012 Fall Semester. Due to technical difficulties, we could not release this installment Thursday and sincerely apologize for the delay. As a way of making it up to our followers, this week's installment brings three interviews on two SXU student-athletes and a SXU Athletics staff member. They include: senior middle blocker Colleen O'Hara (Lemont, Ill./University of Iowa/Lemont) from the Saint Xavier women's volleyball team, sophomore guard Jack Krieger (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North) from the men's basketball team and Shannon Center Facility Manager Jen Quinlan. Greg Pilafas, an intern with the Saint Xavier University Office of Sports Information, was responsible for setting up, conducting and editing the video profiles as part of his senior project for his Communications major. CHICAGO - Welcome to the 12th installment of Cougar Close-Ups, a set of video profiles on your favorite Saint Xavier University student-athletes scheduled to be released on Thursdays throughout the 2012 Fall Semester. This week's installment brings another set of interviews for three SXU student-athletes as a special "Thank You" to our fans in November in honor of Thanksgiving.
