Lindgren joined the Saint Xavier University cross country and track program in December of 2010 as a graduate assistant coach.  He ran cross country and track at Rockford College, a NCAA Division III school.  In track, he specialized in the middle distance events and narrowly missed nationally qualifying in the 800 meters (indoor) and provisionally qualified in the 1500 meters (outdoor).  While running cross country at Rockford College, Lindgren was named the team's "Freshman of the Year" and was a four-time all-conference selection, member of the 2009 conference championship team and has the second fastest 8k (8,000 meters) time in cross country. In track, Lindgren was a six-time conference champion for indoor and outdoor.  He holds track records in events ranging from 400 meters to 1500 meters.  Lindgren is hoping that his experiences at Rockford College will help the Cougars accomplish their goals for the upcoming season.

In 2010, Lindgren graduated from Rockford College with a degree in biology, while minoring in philosophy.  He is currently a graduate student here at SXU and is in the secondary education/biology program at the Chicago campus and also a graduate assistant in the STEM Center at the Orland Park campus.
