Athletics Philosophy

Based on the principles of the mission statement and eight core values that define Saint Xavier University as a leading Catholic institution of higher learning, the philosophy of Saint Xavier University Athletics will mirror those same criteria in its ongoing pursuit of excellence. We believe that athletics is an integral part of both the "educational" and "community" experience at Saint Xavier University. Participation in intercollegiate athletics is a privilege and all participants are expected to represent the University, its students, and its community at the highest level.
