This season marks Thompson's fifth year as a dance coach and her fourth as head coach of the Saint Xavier University dance team, Paw Prints.  The former NBA Milwaukee Bucks dancer led the 2009-10 team to a first place finish in the Collegiate Hip-Hop Division at the UPA National Cheer & Dance Championships in Minneapolis, Minn.  Thompson looks to recapture the hip-hop title again this season and compete for the collegiate dance title as well.

Thompson graduated from Aurora University (Ill.) with a degree in Recreation Administration and a minor in Communications.  She currently works for an area high school where she holds the position of Senior Practicum Coordinator and serves as the Athletic Director. Thompson's 12-year dance career includes stints with the Milwaukee Bucks, the Kane County Eagles' semi-pro football team, the Rockford Lightning of the CBA and for the Chicago Machine of the MLL.
