
This season marks Thompson's sixth year as a head dance coach and her fifth as head coach of the Saint Xavier University Dance Team, Paw Prints. The former NBA Milwaukee Bucks dancer led the 2009-10 team to a first place finish in the Collegiate Hip-Hop Division at the UPA National Cheer & Dance Championships in Minneapolis, Minn. Thompson looks to recapture the team dance title as they compete for the first time at the NAIA/NDA Collegiate Dance Competition in Daytona Beach Florida.
Thompson graduated from Aurora University (Ill.) with a degree in Recreation Administration and a minor in Communications. She currently is receiving her Masters in Leadership- Higher Education and works for an area college where she is the graduate assistant in the Multicultural Affairs Office. Thompson's 15-year dance career includes stints with the Milwaukee Bucks, the Kane County Eagles' semi-pro football team, the Rockford Lightning of the CBA and for the Chicago Machine of the MLL.
