CHICAGO - Saint Xavier University junior forward Paul Herbst (Cary, Ill./McHenry CC) and senior goalkeeper Enrique Orejel (Chicago, Ill./Curie) were both recently named to the All-Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) First Team when the honors were announced by the conference office earlier this week. Orejel is now a four-time All-CCAC First Team honoree, while Herbst is receiving the honor for the first time in his two years with the Cougars.
Herbst currently has a team-high 12 goals this season for SXU, while Orejel has played all 21 games for Saint Xavier at goalkeeper and has a 1.29 goals against average and 110 saves. The Cougars are currently 12-6-3 overall this season and recently received the No. 5 seed in next week's 2004 NAIA Region VII Men's Soccer Tournament. SXU will play No. 4 seeded Trinity International University (Ill.) on Tuesday, November 9, at 1 p.m. in Deerfield, Ill., for the quarterfinal match-up.
