Palos Heights, Ill. - Junior outside hitter Jessica Synowiecki (Oak Lawn, Ill./Moraine Valley CC) finished with 12 kills to help lead the Saint Xavier University volleyball team to a three-game match win (30-18, 30-20, 30-20) over Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) foe Trinity Christian College (Ill.) Tuesday night in Palos Heights, Ill. The victory improves SXU's overall record to 18-15 and gives them a 5-2 mark in conference play, good enough for a fourth place spot in the standings.

Junior setter Traci Looby (Orland Hills, Ill./Andrew) finished with 32 assists and four service aces, while senior outside hitter Jessica Buchmeier (Steger, Ill./Bloom Trail) was tough as well for the Cougars recording 10 kills and four digs. Senior outside hitter Paige Pedigo (Chicago Ridge, Ill./Queen of Peace) led the defense posting 10 digs in the winning effort.

Saint Xavier (18-15 overall/5-2 CCAC) returns home on Wednesday, October 25, to take on NCAA Division II Lewis University (Ill.) in non-conference action. The match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at the Shannon Center in Chicago.
