Palos Heights, Ill. - Saint Xavier University senior midfielder Almir Hot (Belgrade, Serbia/Lindenwood University) and senior defender Fabian Neprjachin (Halle, Germany/Bellevue University) were both recently named to the 2006 NAIA All-Region Men's Soccer Team in their respective positions when the regional office announced the honors late Wednesday. Both players also garnered spots on the All-Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Men's Soccer First Team earlier this month.

Hot finished first on the team in goals scored (10), assists (8), and total points (28) playing in 16 of SXU's 20 games this season. Neprjachin played in 19 games for the Cougars this season and recorded two assists. He also helped lead a defense that allowed just 1.57 goals per game.

Saint Xavier finished the 2006 season with an overall record of 11-9-0 and a fifth-place finish in the CCAC with a 5-4 mark. The Cougars ended the year on November 1 with a 2-1 overtime loss to No. 12 ranked Judson College (Ill.) in the semifinals of the 2006 CCAC Tournament in Elgin, Ill.
