CHICAGO - Saint Xavier University sophomore catcher Lindsey Hall (Elgin, Ill./Larkin) and junior pitcher Jessica Wilson (Munster, Ind./Munster) were named the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Region VII Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, for their impressive individual outings in nine straight victories for the Cougars last week. Wilson also earned NAIA Region VII Softball Pitcher of the Week recognition last week for her performance during the week of March 20.

Hall hit .560 (14-for-25) at the plate and recorded three doubles, five runs and 11 RBI. She started all nine games for the Cougars and finished the week with a slugging percentage of .680. In addition to her offensive stats, Hall had a great week on the defensive side as well with 39 putouts and no errors for a perfect fielding percentage (1.000).

Wilson got four starts on the mound over SXU's nine-game stretch and earned a perfect 4-0 win-loss record. She completed all four games pitching 26 innings and giving up 12 hits and just one earned run. Wilson also struck out 28 batters, did not allow a single walk and had an earned run average (ERA) of 0.35 on the week. In addition to her totals for the week, Wilson recorded her first career perfect game (no hits, walks, and runs) in a 10-0 victory over CCAC foe Purdue-North Central on Tuesday, March 29.

Saint Xavier heads to Deerfield, Ill., on Thursday, April 7, to face Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) foe Trinity International University (Ill.) for a 3 p.m. road doubleheader.
