CHICAGO - Erin Hannemann, a senior forward at Providence Catholic High School in New Lenox, Ill., will continue her athletic and academic career at Saint Xavier University as a member of the Cougar women's basketball program. Hanneman joins Brittanie Crose, a senior guard at Morris High School in Morris, Ill., and Angie Bush, a senior guard at Morgan Township High School in Valparaiso, Ind., as the three signees of SXU head coach Bob Hallberg's 2006 recruiting class.

Hannemann averaged 20.4 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 3.4 assists per game as a senior at Providence Catholic this season. She is the all-time leading scorer at Providence Catholic and is a three-time All-East Suburban Catholic Conference selection. The 5-10 forward finished her prep career with 2,113 points and scored 20-plus points in 16 of her team's 31 games, including three 30-plus point performances.

Saint Xavier made its fourth straight NAIA National Tournament appearance this season and its fourth overall since the program began play in 2000 under Hallberg. The Cougars finished 24-9 overall and advanced to the NAIA Sweet 16 for the first time with a 56-53 win over Carroll College (Mont.) in first round action.
