CHICAGO - Junior Paige Pedigo (Chicago Ridge, Ill./Queen of Peace) finished with team-highs of 12 kills and 19 digs to lead the Saint Xavier University volleyball team to a three-game match win (30-27, 30-25, 35-33) over St. Joseph's College (Ind.) in non-conference action Wednesday at the Shannon Center in Chicago. With the victory, SXU improves its overall record to 8-11.

Senior Carrie Mockovak (Burbank, Ill./Queen of Peace) also played well for the Cougars in Wednesday's win finishing with 10 kills and five blocks, while junior Jessica Buchmeier (Steger, Ill./Bloom Trail) tallied 15 digs in the winning effort. Sophomore setter Traci Looby (Orland Hills, Ill./Andrew) led Saint Xavier with a team-high 33 assists. Saint Xavier (8-11 overall/2-1 CCAC) will return to its Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) slate on Tuesday, September 27, with a 7 p.m. home match against Calumet College of St. Joseph (Ind.) at the Shannon Center.
