CHICAGO - Senior guard Phillip Watson (Chicago, Ill./Von Stueben) and senior forward Michael Rojas (Burbank, Ill./Reavis) each finished with a game-high 15 points to lead the No. 13 ranked Saint Xavier University men's basketball team to a 85-39 home win over Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) in first round action of the 2005 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Tournament Tuesday at the Shannon Center in Chicago. The win improves No. 2 seeded SXU to 27-5 overall and the Cougars will also host the second round, where they will face either No. 3 seeded Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.) or No. 6 seeded Indiana University-South Bend on Thursday, March 3, at 7 p.m. at the Shannon Center.

Besides Watson and Rojas, senior guard Mike Brown (Chicago, Ill./De La Salle) also scored in double figures for Saint Xavier turning in 11 points. Senior guard Rick Romeli (Lansing, Ill./Marian Catholic) and sophomore guard Ken McCormick (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) each scored eight points in Tuesday's win, while junior forward Jabari Saunders (Joliet, Ill./Joliet Township) chipped in seven points. SXU shot 56 percent (22-for-39) from the field in the game and outscored the Scarlet Hawks, 32-14, in the paint.
