CHICAGO - Behind 14 kills by senior outside hitter Jessica Buchmeier (Steger, Ill./Bloom Trail), the Saint Xavier University volleyball team picked up a four-game match win over Judson College (Ill.) in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) action Tuesday night at the Shannon Center in Chicago. The Cougars (6-4 overall, 2-0 CCAC) won the match 30-20, 30-21, 28-30, 30-17.

Sophomore right side Laura Gullickson (Bourbonnais, Ill./Bishop McNamara) also played well in Tuesday's win recording 11 kills, while sophomore libero Jenna Guide (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) led the Cougars defensively with 24 digs. Junior setter Traci Looby (Orland Hills, Ill./Andrew) paced SXU with 47 assists.

Saint Xavier (6-4 overall, 2-0 CCAC) heads to Hastings, Neb., on Friday, September 15, to take part in the two-day Hastings College Volleyball Tournament. The Cougars will play two matches Friday facing Dordt College (Neb.) at 2 p.m. before squaring off against Grand View College (Iowa) at 6 p.m.
