CHICAGO - Ashley Ahline, a setter from Lemont, Ill., has signed a letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic career at Saint Xavier University as a member of the Cougar volleyball program. Ahline played prep volleyball at Lemont High School under head coach Chris Zogota and was also a member of the club volleyball team, Celtic Force.
Ahline is projected to play at either the setter or defensive specialist positions next fall for the Cougars. She is the daughter of Jeff and Kim Ahline of Lemont. Ahline plans to pursue a degree in business at Saint Xavier University.
"Ashley should be able to contribute both on the defensive end and with some setting responsibilities next fall," said SXU volleyball coach Bob Heersema. "She comes from a great high school program at Lemont and also played club volleyball, so she has a lot of prior playing experience."
