CHICAGO - Senior forward Michael Rojas (Burbank, Ill./Reavis), senior forward Eric Regan (St. Charles, Ill./Drake University) and junior forward Jabari Saunders (Joliet, Ill./Joliet Township) each scored 14 points to lead the No. 16 ranked Saint Xavier University men's basketball team to a 83-55 road win over Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) foe Illinois Institute of Technology Saturday in Chicago, Ill. With the win, SXU improves to 22-5 overall and 6-2 in the conference.

Senior guard Phillip Watson (Chicago, Ill./Von Stueben) also scored in double figures for Saint Xavier in Saturday's win with 10 points in addition to a team-high four assists. Regan led the Cougars on the glass with eight rebounds, while Saunders finished with team-highs in both blocks with two and steals with three. SXU shot 48 percent (23-for-48) from the field in the game and outrebounded the Scarlet Hawks, 35-27.

The Cougars had a 43-29 advantage at halftime and continued to pull away in the second half outscoring IIT 40-26 after intermission. Illinois Tech was led by Ayo Ayodele, who finished with a game-high 20 points. The Scarlet Hawks shot just 33 percent (17-for-51) from the field in the game.

Saint Xavier will return home on Wednesday, February 16, to take on CCAC rival and No. 6 ranked Robert Morris College. Game time is set for 7 p.m. at the Shannon Center in Chicago.
