Milwaukee, Wisc. - Behind 15 kills from junior Jessica Buchmeier (Steger, Ill./Bloom Trail), the Saint Xavier University volleyball team wrapped up its regular season slate with a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) match win over Cardinal Stritch University (Wisc.) 30-18, 30-19, 30-20 Tuesday night in Milwaukee, Wisc. The Cougars won six of their last seven regular-season matches and sit at 21-18 overall this season heading into the CCAC Tournament.

In addition to Buchmeier, senior Carrie Mockovak (Burbank, Ill./Queen of Peace) and junior Paige Pedigo (Chicago Ridge, Ill./Queen of Peace) each finished with eight kills for Saint Xavier. Pedigo and Buchmeier also tallied a team-high 10 digs apiece in Tuesday's win. Sophomore setter Traci Looby (Orland Hills, Ill./Andrew) recorded 35 assists, while sophomore Kate Eckhoff (Grant Park, Ill./Grant Park) turned in five service aces.

SXU (21-18 overall/7-2 CCAC) will host the quarterfinals game of the CCAC Tournament on Tuesday, November 8. Seedings and times for the tourney have yet to be announced.
