Palos Heights, Ill. - A solo home run by sophomore second baseman Craig Buske (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) to lead off the ninth inning allowed the Saint Xavier University baseball team the opportunity to win the game in extra innings Tuesday as the Cougars defeated Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference foe Trinity Christian College (Ill.), 6-3, in 10 innings in Palos Heights, Ill. After Buske's homer tied the game at 3-3 in the ninth, SXU scored three runs in the 10th inning to pick up the three-run victory.

In the 10th inning, senior leftfielder Pat Flynn (Chicago, Ill./University of Illinois) hit a solo home run, while senior centerfielder A.J. Coia (North Riverside, Ill./Riverside-Brookfield) and sophomore first baseman Kevin White (Chicago, Ill./St. Rita) each hit RBI singles, respectively, en route to SXU's three runs. Flynn finished the game 2-for-5 with a homer, two runs scored and a RBI, while freshman rightfielder Bryan Druktenis (Oak Lawn, Ill./Richards) paced the Cougar offense with three hits, including a double.
