CHICAGO -- Marek Podczerwinski, a native of Summit, Ill., has decided to transfer from Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills, Ill., and will continue his academic and athletic career at Saint Xavier University as a member of the Cougar men's soccer program. Podczerwinski, who plans to pursue a degree in finance at SXU, is projected to play at the midfielder position for the Cougars. He is the son of Michal and Wladyslawa Podczerwinski, also of Summit. Podczerwinski was selected to the all-conference and all-regional team while playing for Moraine Valley CC.

"Marek is a very physical player," said SXU head men's soccer coach Henry Barsch. "He has the left foot skill needed to fill a starting position at outside midfield and will be a difference maker for us in the fall."
