Joliet, Ill. - Saint Xavier University junior forward Lissa Coby (Lake Villa, Ill./Grant Community) was named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Women's Soccer Player of the Week when the league office in Joliet, Ill released the honor Tuesday. Coby led the No. 15 ranked Cougars to a 5-0 win over CCAC rival University of St. Francis (Ill.) Saturday in Joliet.
Coby finished with a goal and an assist in SXU's only game of the week. The Cougars are currently riding a six-game win streak. Coby leads the team in goals scored (10) and assists (10) this season. It is the second time she has received the honor this year with the first one coming on September 12. Saint Xavier (13-3 overall/6-2 CCAC) wraps up its regular season slate on Wednesday, October 18, with a 1 p.m. conference game against Calumet College of St. Joseph (Ind.) at Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field in Chicago.
