CHICAGO - Saint Xavier University senior catcher Carlos Campos (Stickney, Ill./Morton) was named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Baseball Player of the Week Tuesday for his impressive performance during SXU's four-game stretch last week. The Cougars went a perfect 4-0 on the week picking up key conference wins against Illinois Institute of Technology, Trinity International University (Ill.) and Calumet College of St. Joseph (Ind.).

Campos went 8-for-14 (.571) at the plate on the week with a double, five runs scored and 10 RBI. He started all four games for SXU at catcher and played well on defense totaling 23 putouts and three assists without committing a single error. Campos also had a slugging percentage of .643 and an on-base percentage of .600 during the four-game stretch.

Saint Xavier (20-15 overall, 8-2 CCAC) heads to Palos Heights, Ill., on Tuesday, April 19, to face CCAC foe Trinity Christian College (Ill.) for one nine-inning game. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m
