CHICAGO - Saint Xavier University sophomore pitcher Ryan Quigley (Joliet, Ill./Joliet Catholic) was named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Baseball Pitcher of the Week for his outstanding performance on the mound during SXU's three-game stretch last week. Although he only had one start for the Cougars, Quigley made the most of it leading Saint Xavier to a 12-0 conference win over Purdue University-North Central (Ind.) Friday in Westville, Ind.

Quigley threw all seven innings against PUNC Friday to earn his fourth win of the season (4-1). He allowed just one hit and one walk, while striking out eight Purdue-North Central batters. It was Quigley's third shutout and third complete game performance of the season.

Saint Xavier (11-11 overall, 1-0 CCAC) hosts CCAC rival University of St. Francis (Ill.) Tuesday for a nine-inning game at Ferrell Field in Chicago. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
