CHICAGO - On the same day she was named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference(CCAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week, Saint Xavier University junior forward Jacki DiMaggio (Bartlett, Ill./Glenbard North) had another big game as the Cougars defeated No. 23 ranked Judson College (Ill.), 77-64, Tuesday in non-conference action at the Shannon Center in Chicago. DiMaggio finished with a game-high 16 points to help SXU improve to 10-10 this season, while Judson falls to 17-4.

Besides DiMaggio, four other Cougar players scored in double figures in Tuesday's win. Freshman guard Dani Engleman (Oak Park, Ill./River Forest) came off the bench to score 12 points on 5-for-8 shooting from the field. Senior guard Sara Zembrzuski (Lockport, Ill./Lockport) turned in 11 points for SXU, while sophomore guard Candis Jackson (Chicago, Ill./Whitney Young) and junior guard Jen Belmonte (Darien, Ill./Hinsdale South) each chipped in 10 points. Senior forward Rachel Merkell (Munster, Ind./Munster) led the Cougars on the glass with seven rebounds.

Judson was led by senior center Elizabeth Oleferchik, who finished with 15 points and a game-high 12 rebounds. The Lady Eagles took a 10-2 lead in the first five minutes of the game, but the SXU offense and defense started clicking as Saint Xavier rolled to a 35-20 halftime advantage. In the second half, the Cougars continued to build their lead going ahead by as many as 28 points and securing SXU's eighth win in its last nine games.
