Joliet, Ill. - Saint Xavier University junior forward Erin Hannemann (Homer Glen, Ill./Providence Catholic) was named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Week when the conference office released the honor early Wednesday morning. Hannemann averaged 20.3 points, 10.0 rebounds and 1.7 steals over three games last week and also tallied two double-double performances during the stretch, including 24 points and 11 rebounds in an 86-81 win over No. 6 ranked College of the Ozarks (Mo.) at the CCAC Challenge hosted by Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Ill. Following the Challenge, Hannemann was named the event's Most Valuable Player (MVP).

The 5-11 junior forward started the week with 23 points and 12 rebounds in a 74-54 road victory over Trinity International University (Ill.) last Tuesday in Deerfield, Ill. Hannemann then had another big game Friday in SXU's win over College of the Ozarks at the CCAC Challenge. She capped the Challenge and the week with 14 points, seven rebounds and four steals in a 97-55 win over Pikeville College (Ky.). Hannemann finished her impressive week shooting 66 percent (25-for-38) from the field over the three-game stretch.

Saint Xavier (7-2 overall) hosts NCAA Division III foe Wheaton College (Ill.) on Friday, December 12. The game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start Friday at the Shannon Center in Chicago.
