Olathe, Kan. - Junior forward Jacki DiMaggio (Bartlett, Ill./Glenbard North) was recently named a 2005 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Division I Women's Basketball Honorable Mention All-American when the teams were released by the national office late last week. Members of the teams are selected by the NAIA All-American Selection Committee based on nominations from coaches throughout the country.

DiMaggio was named to the 2005 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) First Team and led SXU in scoring this season with a 13.6 points per game average. She also finished second on the team in rebounding averaging 6.6 boards per game. DiMaggio surpassed the 1,000-point mark in her collegiate career during the 2004-05 season and heads into her senior campaign with 1,121 points, which ties her for third all-time in SXU's career scoring list.

Saint Xavier ended its 2004-05 season with a 21-13 overall record and a No. 25 national ranking. The Cougars advanced to the NAIA National Championships for the third consecutive season and hit the 20-win mark for the fifth straight year (every year of the program's five-year existence).
