CHICAGO -- Brittanie Crose, a senior guard at Morris High School in Morris, Ill., has signed a letter of intent to continue her athletic and academic career at Saint Xavier University in Chicago as a member of the 2006-07 Cougar women's basketball team. Crose, a native of Morris, is currently coached by Luke Windy at Morris High School.
Crose is expected to continue play at the guard position during the fall of 2006 at Saint Xavier University. As a junior at Morris H.S. last season, she averaged 14 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 3.0 steals per game and was named First Team All-Conference and All-Area. Crose is the daughter of Todd and Vivian Crose of Morris and plans to pursue a degree in psychology at SXU.
"Brittanie is a wonderful addition for our program," said Saint Xavier University women's basketball coach Bob Hallberg. "She has tremendous speed and an uncanny passion for the game. Brittanie will fit very well into our up-tempo style of play."
