CHICAGO - Danielle Wilson, a senior at Northrop High School in Fort Wayne, Ind., has signed a letter of intent to continue both her athletics and academic career at Saint Xavier University as a member of the Cougar women's soccer program. She was a goalkeeper during her prep career at Northrop under Brian Booker.
Wilson is the daughter of Pam Wilson and Helden Beck, also of Fort Wayne. She is projected to continue play at goalkeeper, but may also see time at midfield or as a defender next fall for the Cougars.
"Danielle is another great addition to a wonderful recruiting class this year," said SXU women's soccer coach Derek Begich. "She played keeper in high school, but her club coach played her as an outside back and outside midfielder as well as in goal. Her versatility on the field will help us fill some voids created by graduation. Danielle has a great work ethic and does whatever is asked of her."
