Kansas City, Mo. - Saint Xavier University senior setter Traci Looby (Orland Hills, Ill./Andrew) was named to the 2007 NAIA Volleyball All-America Honorable Mention Team Monday when the honors were released by the national office. She becomes the first SXU volleyball player to earn recognition on the NAIA All-America Teams since senior outside hitter Lisa Johnson claimed the same distinction following the 2002 season.

Looby, a three-year starter, wrapped up an outstanding collegiate career finishing as Saint Xavier's all-time leader in career assists with 5,057. She passed Erin Beck, who played at SXU from 1993-96, for the top spot. Looby also finished second all-time in career service aces with 253. She trails recent Saint Xavier Hall of Fame inductee (2006) Tia Pieper, who finished with 306 career aces from 1992-96.

Saint Xavier had its most successful campaign (31-14 overall) since the 2000 season when the team finished 36-14 overall and earned a berth to the NAIA Volleyball National Championship. The Cougars also qualified for the NAIA Region VII championship match for the first time since 2000.
