CHICAGO - The Saint Xavier University women's soccer team could not find its offense Wednesday falling to Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) rival Robert Morris College (Ill.), 8-0, at the University of Illinois-Chicago soccer field in Chicago. SXU falls to 8-4 overall with the loss and 2-2 in league play.
The Cougars had 13 shots on goal in the game, but failed to find the back of the net. Sophomore goalkeeper Jessi Brink (Omaha, Neb./Burke) recorded 10 saves in the game for SXU. Robert Morris scored three of its eight goals in the first half and finished with 17 shots in the game.
Saint Xavier plays CCAC foe Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.) in Bourbonnais, Ill., on Saturday, October 2, at 2 p.m.
