CHICAGO, Ill. – Pouring in a season-high Tuesday night, Saint Xavier put away four goals in a 4-1 victory over Calumet St. Joseph at Deaton Field.

Senior David Rebollar (Rock Valley CC / Rockford, Ill.) and freshman Caden Patten (McMinnville HS / McMinnville, Ore.) each scored two goals in the win, as the duo each lead the Cougars (5-6, 2-3 CCAC) with four goals on the year.

Saint Xavier took the lead early in the first half, when Rebollar scored from the right side of the field in the 13th minute. SXU looked to add to their lead in the first half, with three more shots on goal but were unable to find the back of the net until after the break.

The Crimson Wave (4-6-1, 2-3 CCAC) briefly tied the match after halftime, with a goal in the 50th minute. Patten would put the Cougars back on top less than five minutes later, with a shot from the right, assisted by Elias Leyva (Moraine Valley CC / Addison, Ill.).

The Cougars put the game away with two quick goals in the 64th and 67th, first from Patten assisted by Uriel Landa (Oakton CC / Chicago, Ill.), and later from Rebollar with help from Leyva.

Goalkeeper Frank Valle (McHenry Community HS / McHenry, Ill.) made three saves in the win, facing a total of 10 shots overall for his 24th career victory.

The Cougars will go for their second win in a row this Saturday, when they play host to the Robert Morris Eagles. Kickoff from Deaton Field is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
