The Cougars (1-5-3, 1-1-1 CCAC) held strong throughout the first 20 minutes of the match, before Stritch (5-2-1, 3-0 CCAC) went ahead with a goal in the 22nd minute off of a corner kick. The Wolves would put in two more before the halftime break, in the 30th and 44th minutes, on a long run down the left sideline, and another corner kick from the right.

Stritch closed out the scoring with a goal early in the second half, in the 48th minute on a rebound following Carly Bledoe's (Father Ryan HS / Franklin, Tenn.) save moments earlier.

Bledsoe finished the night with six saves, after facing a total of 15 shots and seven corner kicks. Hannah Bressner (Heartland CC / Streator, Ill.) and Brooke Mejdrich (Lincoln-Way Central HS / New Lenox, Ill.) each had a shot on goal as the Cougar attack were able to generate three shots on the night.

The Cougars return to action this Saturday, September 30, when they visit Judson for a 12:00 p.m. kickoff.
