CHICAGO, Ill. - Saint Xavier goalkeeper Carly Bledsoe (Father Ryan HS / Franklin, Tenn.) was named the CCAC Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, following the Cougars' scoreless draw at Lourdes (Ohio) last weekend.

Bledsoe earns her first career CCAC Player of the Week award, after matching a career high with 12 saves in the Cougars only match last week. Entering play this week Bledsoe ranks 8th in the NAIA, averaging 10.7 saves per match, and is 2nd in the CCAC with a .889 save percentage.

The Cougars wrap up the non-conference portion of the schedule this Wednesday, September 13, when they travel to face St. Francis (Ind.); kickoff from Fort Wayne is set for 6:30 p.m CDT.
