SYLVANIA, Ohio – Holding strong despite being outshot by a wide margin, Saint Xavier women's soccer earned a scoreless draw on the road Saturday at Lourdes (Ohio).

Junior goalkeeper Carly Bledsoe (JR/Franklin, Tenn.) made a season-high 12 saves on the day, while facing 31 shots altogether, to earn her first shutout of the season. The Cougars (0-3-2) produced nine shot attempts of their own, with five shots on goal.

Abigail Peppin (JR/Schererville, Ind.) led Saint Xavier with four shots in the match and three shots on goal, including two late in the first overtime session. Peppin fired two quick shots in the 97th and 98th minutes, but both were saved by the Lourdes (1-2-1) goalkeeper.

The Cougars continue their four-match road swing on Wednesday, September 13, when they travel to face St. Francis (Ind.). Kickoff from Fort Wayne is set for 6:30 p.m.
