Findlay, Ohio - For the third straight week and sixth time this season, Saint Xavier University senior kicker/punter Shane Longest (Wilmington, Ill./Wilmington) was again named the Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) Mideast League Special Teams Player of the Week Tuesday for his performance last Saturday in SXU's 36-20 home win over No. 11 Malone College (Ohio). Saint Xavier has now won the MSFA Special Teams Player of the Week honor seven of the eight weeks it has been awarded this season with sophomore wide receiver/kick returner Bill McKeon (Joliet, Ill./Joliet Catholic) earning it in week three.

Longest connected on all five of his field goals attempts in the game (43, 32, 27, 45, and 32 yards) and all three extra-points for 18 of SXU's 36 points in the game. He also averaged 37.0 yards on four punt attempts, including a 51-yarder, and 62.0 yards on eight kickoffs, including four for touchbacks.

Saint Xavier (8-1 overall/4-1 MSFA) heads to Upland, Ind., this Saturday to take on MSFA Mideast League foe Taylor University (Ind.). The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. eastern time start.
