Women's Basketball - Tue, Nov. 28, 2006
CHICAGO - The No. 17 ranked Cougar women's basketball team will host two-time defending NAIA national champion and No. 1 ranked Union University (Tenn.) this weekend in a 1 p.m. match-up Saturday (December 2) at the Shannon Center in Chicago. SXU will be looking for some revenge after falling to Union in the "Sweet 16" of the 2006 NAIA National Tournament last March.

"It is not everyday you get the opportunity to host the defending national champions on your home floor," said Saint Xavier women's basketball coach Bob Hallberg. "I think this is a great opportunity for high school girl's basketball players in the area to come over to the Shannon Center and see the high caliber of athletes on two very talented NAIA women's basketball teams."

In addition to Saturday's game against Union, the Cougars will also host Central College (Iowa) on Friday, December 1, at the Shannon Center. Start time for Friday's match-up is scheduled for 3 p.m.
