Joliet, Ill. - Saint Xavier University senior forward Lissa Coby (Ingleside, Ill./Grant Community) and sophomore goalkeeper Danielle Wagner (Worth, Ill./University of Illinois/Stagg) have been named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) and NAIA Region VII Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, for the week ending October 14 when the honors were released by the conference office Tuesday. Coby and Wagner were both instrumental in leading SXU to a 4-0 CCAC win over Robert Morris College (Ill.), a 1-1 tie with No. 3 ranked Lindsey Wilson College (Ky.), and a heart-breaking 2-1 overtime loss to No. 5 Martin Methodist College (Tenn.) on the week.

Coby registered the game-tying goal in the big double overtime tie against No. 3 Lindsey Wilson and also scored the lone goal in the overtime loss to No. 5 Martin Methodist. She also helped lead her team one step closer to a conference title with the victory over Robert Morris, where she scored two goals and had an assist. Coby is SXU's 1eading scorer this season with 17 goals, 12 assists and 46 total points.

Wagner also had a huge week for the Cougars registering six saves and earning her seventh shutout of the year in the 4-0 win over CCAC rival Robert Morris. She followed that performance by registering 11 saves and an assist on the game-tying goal, in the tie against No. 3 Lindsey Wilson. Two days later, Wagner was outstanding again in the overtime loss to No. 5 Martin Methodist with eight saves. She averaged 8.33 saves per game in 294 minutes of action on the week.

Saint Xavier (13-2-1 overall/7-1 CCAC) gets back to its Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) slate Tuesday with a road game against Calumet College of St. Joseph (Ind.). Start time for Tuesday's game is 1 p.m. in Whiting, Ind.
