CHICAGO – A double-double and a near triple-double in the last seven days has netted Saint Xavier University senior forward Morgan Stuut (Marcellus, Mich./Three Rivers) her third Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor for the 2014-15 season when it was announced by the league office Tuesday morning.  Stuut averaged 19.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 3.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per game, while shooting .652 from the field (15-of-23) and a perfect 5-for-5 from the foul line in a pair of conference wins.  Those numbers came on an average of just 23.5 minutes per contest.

Stuut authored her NAIA-leading 18th double-double of the season in a dominant 107-63 road victory over No. 17-ranked Robert Morris University (Ill.) last Wednesday.  In 28 minutes of action, she registered 19 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and three steals.  Three days later, Stuut made the most of her 19 minutes of action totaling 19 points, nine rebounds, nine assists, three steals and two blocks in a 96-41 home win over Trinity International University (Ill.).  She also converted seven of her 10 shots from the field, including 2-of-3 from three-point range.  Stuut currently ranks in the top 20 in the nation in no fewer than five statistical categories highlighted by her No. 2 billing in rebounding (11.8 per game).

Saint Xavier, winners of 14 consecutive contests, holds a 25-2 overall record and remains perfect in league play at 16-0.  The Cougars are also ranked No. 4 in the nation in the latest Top 25 poll.  SXU heads downtown to face off against Roosevelt University (Ill.) on Wednesday, February 18, in a conference tilt set for a 5:30 p.m. start.
