Kansas City, Mo. – Senior guard Brad Karp (Valparaiso, Ind./Valparaiso) and junior forward Brandon Marren (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) both represented Saint Xavier University on the list of 2013-14 Daktronics-NAIA Division II Men's Basketball Scholar-Athletes when the honors were recently released by the NAIA national office.  There were 134 NAIA Division II men's basketball student-athletes named to this year's list.  Karp is a biology major with a 3.56 cumulative grade-point average (GPA), while Marren is majoring in history with an emphasis on secondary education and carries a 3.65 cumulative GPA.    

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.  Eligible athletes must also have completed at least one year at the nominating institution.
