CHICAGO – Firing rounds of even-par 72 and 76 during the week of March 10-16, Saint Xavier University junior Kyle Bahnick (Inverness, Ill./Carthage College/Palatine-Fremd) has claimed the initial Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Men's Golfer of the Week honor for 2014 when it was announced Tuesday morning. Bahnick helped lead the Cougars to a third-place team finish at the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Ariz.) Spring Invite in Prescott, Ariz on Monday and Tuesday. With the two-day score of 148, including the team-low 72 on the first day, Bahnick finished in a tie for ninth place among a field of 39 golfers. A total of five teams competed in the invitational.
Saint Xavier continues its spring season on April 4-5 at the Ashford University Invite in Riverside, Iowa. The two-day tournament takes place at Blue Top Ridge Golf Course in Iowa.
