CHICAGO - Behind three goals by freshman forward Zach Kekelik (Merrillville, Ind./Crown Point), the Saint Xavier University (Ill.) men's soccer team snapped its four-game losing streak with a 8-1 victory over Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) foe Calumet College of St. Joseph (Ind.) Wednesday at Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field in Chicago. The Cougars (7-8 overall/3-4 CCAC) also got impressive individual outings from junior forward Alex Duncan (Orland Park, Ill./Moraine Valley CC) with two goals and two assists as well as sophomore midfielder Agustin Herrera (Chicago Heights, Ill./Bloom) with two goals and an assist.

Senior midfielder Almir Hot (Belgrade, Serbia/Lindenwood University) also played well in Wednesday's victory posting a goal and four assists. Freshman Ian Pickett (Mokena, Ill./Providence Catholic) got the start in goal for SXU and finished with five saves.

Saint Xavier (7-8 overall, 3-4 CCAC) continues its CCAC slate on Saturday, October 21, against Trinity International University (Ill.). The game is scheduled to start at 1:30 p.m. at Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field in Chicago.
