Kansas City, Mo. – Senior midfielder Molly Sheehan (Orland Park, Ill./Stagg) represented Saint Xavier University as one of 507 NAIA women's soccer student-athletes nationwide named as 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes when the honors were released by the national office Friday.  Sheehan, a speech pathology major at SXU, played in all 18 games with 14 starts this fall for the Cougars and recorded one assist.  She was also named a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete following the 2012 season as well.     

In order to be nominated as a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, have achieved junior academic status and maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale to qualify for the honor.
