Joliet, Ill. – Junior middle hitter Marie Hackert (Evansville, Ind./Reitz Memorial) represented the Saint Xavier University women's volleyball team as a first team member of the 2013 All-Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Volleyball Team when the conference announced the awards late Saturday in conjunction with the CCAC Volleyball Tournament Championship. Hackert earns the all-conference distinction for the first time in her collegiate career.
Hackert played in all 30 matches during the 2013 season and led the Cougars in kills (287), points (343.5) and block assists (63). She also finished second on the team in attack percentage (.254) and solo blocks (24). Hackert also ranked among the top 10 leaders in the conference in hitting percentage.
Saint Xavier finished its 2013 campaign with a 16-14 overall record and finished in a tie for sixth place in the final CCAC regular season standings at 9-8. The Cougars took the No. 6 seed into the 2013 CCAC Volleyball Tournament and fell in first round action to No. 3 seed Cardinal Stritch University (Wis.).
