Milwaukee, Wis. – Junior middle hitter Marie Hackert (Evansville, Ind./Reitz Memorial) and sophomore right side Meghan Falsey (Schaumburg, Ill./Schaumburg) each finished with 10 kills apiece, but it was not enough as the No. 6 seeded Saint Xavier University volleyball team fell to No. 3 seed Cardinal Stritch University (Wis.) in the opening round of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Tournament Tuesday night at Panella Court in Milwaukee, Wis. The Cougars dropped the match in three straight sets by scores of 25-16, 25-19 and 25-16. The loss ends SXU's season with the team finishing up with a 16-14 overall record.

(Heyworth, Ill./Heyworth) finished with a match-best 23 assists for the Cougars, while sophomore middle blocker/outside hitter Heidi Gregerson
(Park Ridge, Ill./UW-Parkside/Maine South) had six kills. Junior libero Dominique Aramburu
(Chicago, Ill./UIC/Mother McAuley) recorded a team-leading 14 digs. SXU had trouble offensively with 22 attacking errors on the night compared to 28 kills.
Saint Xavier ends its 2013 campaign with a 16-14 overall record and finished sixth in the CCAC final regular season standings with a 9-8 conference mark.
