Palos Heights, Ill. – Junior utility player Morgan Graves (Joliet, Ill./Joliet West) finished with a pair of shots on goal, but the Saint Xavier University women's soccer team could not find the back of the net in a 3-0 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) loss to Trinity Christian College (Ill.) at Schaaf Field Saturday afternoon in Palos Heights, Ill.  The Cougars (4-9-1 overall/2-6-0 CCAC) had difficulty generating offense Saturday with the team limited to just eight total shots in the game, including four shots on goal.  The Trolls were very aggressively on the offensive end recording 24 total shots with 12 on goal.

Trinity Christian scored two goals in the opening half with the first coming in the 29th minute off the foot of freshman midfielder Kayla Diemer.  The second score came less than two minutes before halftime when junior forward Rachael Webb fed a pass to freshman midfielder Abby McDonald for the finish.  SXU freshman keeper Alex Perry (St. Louis, Mo./Perry) played the entire first half in goal and recorded four saves.  Junior Danielle Koncius (Palos Hills, Ill./Heartland CC/Stagg) got the start in goal in the second half for the Cougars and posted five saves.  The Trolls added their final goal of the game in the 86th minute when Webb scored off an assist by Diemer.

Saint Xavier (4-9-1 overall/2-6-0 CCAC) heads up north to Milwaukee, Wis., on Tuesday, October 22, for a conference road game against Cardinal Stritch University (Wis.).  The game is scheduled for a 5 p.m. start.
