Notre Dame, Ind. – Posting 10 saves on the day, freshman keeper Alex Perry (St. Louis, Mo./Perry) notched her second career shutout in helping lead the Saint Xavier University women's soccer team to a 3-0 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) victory over Holy Cross College (Ind.) Sunday afternoon at Ganger Field in Notre Dame, Ind. An unassisted goal by freshman forward Mariana Hoerr (Canton, Ohio/St. Thomas Aquinas) in the 34th minute kicked off the scoring for the Cougars Sunday. After leading 1-0 at the half, SXU pulled away with two more goals in the second half.

Saint Xavier added its second goal in the 55th minute of play when freshman midfielder Christina Sperando (Chicago, Ill./Mother McAuley) found junior Marissa Graves (Joliet, Ill./Joliet West) open on a cross, which Graves punched in from the center of the box. The Cougars finished with 17 total shots, including 11 on goal. The third goal came on an own goal by the Saints in the final minute of regulation.
