CHICAGO – Sophomore right side Meghan Falsey (Schaumburg, Ill./Schaumburg) led the way with eight kills as the Saint Xavier University women's volleyball team won its fourth straight match with a quick three-set victory over Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) foe Robert Morris University (Ill.) 25-16, 25-22 and 25-16 Thursday night at the Shannon Center in Chicago.  Junior setter Kelli Shaffer (Heyworth, Ill./Heyworth) also had a nice effort for the Cougars Thursday with 28 assists, 11 digs and four kills.  With the win, SXU improves to 7-6 overall and 2-1 in conference play, while the Eagles fall to 6-9 overall and suffer their first conference loss at 3-1.   

Sophomore middle blocker Heidi Gregerson (Park Ridge, Ill./UW-Parkside/Maine South) was impressive at the net with five total blocks (two solos) and five kills as well as with her serving, recording a match-best four aces.  Junior middle hitter Marie Hackert (Evansville, Ind./Reitz Memorial) had seven kills for Saint Xavier and a solo block, while sophomore outside hitter Cassidy Sponsler (Jackson, Mich./Lumen Christi) posted six kills.  Junior outside hitter Jessica Galotta (Beverly, Ill./Parkland CC/Mother McAuley) was solid all-around as well for the Cougars with three kills, three aces and 10 digs  Junior libero Dominique Aramburu (Chicago, Ill./UIC/Mother McAuley) turned in a match-high 19 digs.  RMU was led by sophomore hitters Allyson Murray and Katie Rotkovich each with nine kills on the night.  As a team, SXU had an attack percentage of .212 (33 kills, 11 errors) Thursday. 

Saint Xavier (6-6 overall/1-1 CCAC) hosts conference foe Roosevelt University (Ill.) on Tuesday, October 1, at the Shannon Center.  The match is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start.
