Leesburg, Va. – The entire defense on the No. 5 ranked Saint Xavier University football team was named the NAIA "Defense of the Week" by Beyond Sports Network Monday for its performance Saturday night in a 41-10 home victory over No. 22 Robert Morris University (Ill.) at Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field in Chicago. The defense held the visiting Eagles to just 163 yards of total offense (54 rushing, 109 passing) and no offensive touchdowns, while also producing six sacks in the game. RMU's lone touchdown Saturday came from its defense on a 17-yard fumble recovery in the second quarter. Saint Xavier (2-1 overall) heads to Joliet, Ill., on Saturday, September 28, for another Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) crossover game against area rival University of St. Francis (Ill.). The game is scheduled for a 5 p.m. kickoff at Joliet Memorial Stadium in Joliet, Ill.
