CHICAGO - Ernad Dzananovic, a senior midfielder/defender from Harlem High School in Machesney Park, Ill., has signed a letter of intent to continue both his athletic and academic career at Saint Xavier University as a member of the Cougar men's soccer program. He was coached by Dan Lang during his prep career for the Huskies of Harlem High School.

Dzananovic is the son of Husein and Sebira Dzananovic of Loves Park, Ill. He plans to pursue a degree in business administration next year at Saint Xavier University. SXU men's soccer coach Ed Vucinic is still unsure of where Dzananovic will best fit in position-wise on the field next fall.

"I'm excited about Ernad's decision to join us here at Saint Xavier," said Vucinic. "He has spent most of his career in the central midfield and defense, but his size, strength, and skill might serve us well as a target forward. Ernad possesses a thunderous right foot and that creates some intriguing possibilities up front and on set pieces. We'll also benefit from the excellent coaching he has received at the high school and club levels."
